Victorian Branch Awards
The purpose of these awards is to provide an opportunity for students studying Occupational
Health and Safety (OHS) and demonstrating high levels of achievement and initiative in the
area of OHS to be recognised by the Safety Institute of Australia.
These awards aim to recognise the potential in students who display consistently high
academic standards, practical skills and a commitment and involvement in OHS.
SIA (Victoria) OHS Education Awards
At the state level, the SIA Education Awards Program is open to students completing study in
Occupational Health and Safety related courses at six levels:
Category 1 Certificate IV OHS - TAFE sector
Category 2 Diploma and Advanced Diploma - TAFE sector
Category 3 Undergraduate Degree and Graduate Certificate - University
Category 4 Postgraduate Diploma - University
Category 5 Masters by course work or research - University
Category 6 PhD and Doctorate programs - University
