A 48 year old Victorian man who had claimed $25,000 in compensation benefits while working two other jobs has been handed a four month sentence.
Robert Andrew Window had been working in a timber yard and was driving hire cars while claiming the benefits.
Window had been injured in 1992 and had subsequently received surgery, and by 2002 he had retrained as an information technology technician.
However, to obtain two payments between 2007 and 2008 he had produced certificates from his GP stating that he was "unfit for any duties".
Window had paid back the money shortly before the trial, and has also been fined $7,500.
