Return to Work - The 'Why's, What For's & How's'
Supporting workers to
return to safe work as soon as possible after a workplace injury is a primary
objective of WorkSafe Victoria and should be for all employers as well. 85% of workers who are off work greater 12 weeks remain off from work
for up to 52 weeks or more.
The early return to safe work for an injured worker makes sound business
sense, workers will benefit by maintaining their job skills and financial
security whilst they recover faster in a familiar workplace environment. Employers
will benefit from reducing the financial impact on their WorkCover Premiums. The
seminar will also include information about the employers and workers role in
returning to work.
