Garry is a Board Member of The Optometry Board of Australia, owner and Franchisee of Specsavers Murray Street Mall and
Trinity arcade. He has had a career in Optometry for 28 years and also holds the position of Chair of The Advisory Board,
School of Optometry at Deakin University.
Flame Retardant Workwear - The need, the applications, the development – A Summary
This interactive summary will interest those from a range of sectors including; mining, oil and gas,
and any work place that may be impacted by potential flame hazards. Domenic will be happy to
answer questions and show examples of product development in flame retardant work-wear.

Domenic is currently Western Regional Manager of Elliott Australia with a career long term commitment to furthering
occupational health and safety in the workplace. He is a former member of Australian Safety Equipment Industry
Association (ASEIA) and first person in Australia to receive independent Competency Accreditation to Level 1 from the
Ballarat University (March 1996) in relation to PPE sales – a then SIA initiative to ensure PPE sales personnel received some
form of independent competency based training.
Domenic has been a member of Safety Institute Of Australia for over 15 years and is also ta former National President Of
Australian Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Association
