Dr Matthew (Matt) Atkins a specialist in travel and occupational medicine and will present on managing the medical and health risks with workplace travel both in Australia and overseas, in particular , the area of intersection that covers corporate travel risk assessment and mitigation.
He is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Tropical Medicine and a Registrar of the Australian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. His perspective is one of being knowledge based and being able to adequately prepare. This allows for the health and safety professional to work to control many of the health risks and potentially avoid situations such as illness or medical evacuation which can have significant costs and danger associated with it in its own right!
