SIA LTD - Code Of Ethics

The SIA Ltd are introducing a new complaints system to ensure credibility of the new Code of Ethics.

A Complaints Procedure, based on recommendations developed by HaSPA and adopted by the NBOM will complement the new Code of Ethics.

The new procedure formalises the processes for handling of ethics issues and complaints previously approved by the National Board and that the Institute has been using for several years under its pre-existing Code of Conduct.

The new Complaints Procedure has been developed with the professional assistance of Ross Armstrong, WorkSafe Victoria, Melbourne University and some 200 plus SIA Ltd members during the four HaSPA Engagement Sessions kindly hosted by WorkSafe Victoria during 2008.

Attached below is a PDF version of the new Ethics & Complaints Procedure.

Those wishing to lodge a complaint or raise an ethics issue should do so in writing via email: natadmin@sia.org.au

Should you have any queries related to the SIA Ltd Complaints Procedure contact the National Office on 03 8336 1995.
