Global Reporting Initiative - Opportunity for Public Comment until 24 November

Tuesday 22 November, 2011

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is a network-based organisation that produces a comprehensive sustainability reporting framework that is widely used around the world. GRI is committed to the Framework’s continuous improvement and application worldwide. GRI’s core goals include the mainstreaming of disclosure on environmental, social and governance performance.

GRI's Reporting Framework is developed through a consensus-seeking, multi-stakeholder process. Participants are drawn from global business, civil society, labor, academic and professional institutions.

As part of their review they are currently conducing a survey on sustainability metrics and inviting individuals and organisations to particpate.  This is an opportunity to provide input to have improvement in the OHS area of the guidelines.

The SIA is submitting an organisational response to the survey in line with the work that is being undertaken with Macquarie Universtiy on OHS KPI's.

The web site link to the survey is provided below if you wish to participate.  Attached is a survey preview to give you and idea of what is being asked in the survey.  Please be aware that the survey closing date is 24 November.
