Safe Work SA are advising that South Australian university-based or independent researchers can apply for work health and safety Commissioned Research Grants to undertake applied research that helps expand the body of knowledge on the prevention of workplace injury and illness in South Australia
This is made possible by $320,000 of funding made available each year from SafeWork SA.
SafeWork SA also report that in the 2012 round, the Mining and Quarrying OHS Committee (MAQOSHC) may provide additional funding for research into WHS in the mining and/or quarrying industries.
Applications open on Monday 2 July 2012 and close on Friday 24 August 2012.
