A
truck driver was trapped for two hours in the cab of his truck following a
crash in Western Sydney.
The
truck crashed into the rear of a street sweeper on James Ruse Drive, North
Parramatta at about 1.35am Sunday night. The emergency services had to cut
through the truck’s front panel for almost two hours before they were able to
free the man.
The
victim was brought to Westmead Hospital with possible spinal injuries. The
driver of the street sweeper did not suffer from any injury.
Police
had to close a portion of the westbound lanes of James Ruse Drive during the
investigation.
