The objective of this Special Interest Group is to promote safety and health in the Local Government Sector across Australia.
This Special Interest Group aims to facilitate the following:
- Develop a network of SIA Members who are interested in or involved within the various fields related to OHS and Environment in the Local Government Sector across Australia
- Provide a broad range of links obtained from a variety of sources including Australian Government, State Government, Worksafe Authorities, Local Government Organisations and Associations
- Highlight areas of excellence and Health and Safety best practice within the Local Government Sector
Provide a forum for financial SIA members where issues relevant to the Local Government Sector can be raised, discussed and information disseminated
