The Safety Institute of Australia (WA Branch) Perth Safety Symposium will be on held on Friday 4 October 2019 at ECU Mount Lawley campus. 

Come and join your professional and practitioner peers and industry leaders at the start of Safety Month 2019 at the Perth Safety Symposium.
The theme this year, SafetyGenX:M: 2020 and beyond - Health and Safety in the next decade is about people!
You will hear from a series of speakers sharing how they are being 'forward thinking' in managing risk into the next decade to an acceptable level, by focusing on their people! 

The format is engaging, entertaining and fast paced. Each presentation providing informative, practically applicable concepts, grounded in real world proven research designed to challenge each attendee to open their mind and expand their 'toolbox' when preparing to manage workplace health and safety risk into and beyond 2020 – as it’s all about you and your people.

The organising committee encourages you to complete an Expression of Interest that best suits you.
A 25 minute talk (4 available) or an 8 minute talk (13 available) relevant to the theme '2020 and beyond – Health and Safety in the next decade is about (you and) your people!'

  • What did we learn from 15 years of large construction projects - the good, the bad and the evolution of “ugly duckling” opportunities.
  • Marijuana in the workplace – Latest thoughts pathway forward.
  • Building a resilient workplace in an increasingly ‘PC’ confused near future to achieve lower personal workplace stress. (from either an Occupational psychologist view)
  • Millennials’ influence on the future of Workplace health and safety  - what does this look like? What are the critical few risk areas?
  • Baby Boomers and Gen X “exiting the workplace”. Considerations for managing the transition risk for the modern business / workplace.
