SIA Director Hannah Waters named Telstra Women’s Business Award Finalist
Hannah Waters, Health Safety Environment Director for Jacobs Asia Pacific Middle East region and SIA Director, has been named a finalist for the Telstra Women’s Business Award in Australia.
Hannah was nominated for outstanding contributions to ensuring positive mental health is a strategic priority and improving the safety and wellbeing of employees across the business. She was specifically recognized for leadership and implementation of innovative initiatives to address mental health in the workplace. Hannah’s award citation recognized her leadership in Jacob’s mental health as a business imperative. According to Hannah, a Jacobs Positive Mental Health Champion and Trainer, “Businesses have a social obligation to create mentally healthy workplaces for employees. The prominence of mental illnesses in society highlights how important it is to continuously focus on what we can do, as a business, to care for our people as the wider pressures of life impact the mental health of our staff and their families. I am very proud to be part of the team that advanced this cultural transformation to the highest levels of the Jacobs’ organization.”
We would like to congratulate Hannah on her success and wish her the best of luck with her nomination.
